The City of Brampton is a breastfeeding-friendly organization that welcomes all breastfeeding parents and children. While The City does not prevent breastfeeding in public spaces, there are no private breastfeeding rooms for staff or public to pump milk, breastfeed, or bottle feed.
The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms protects the right to breastfeed anytime, anywhere.
The City has recognized that some parents and caregivers would like the option to care for infants in a comfortable, safe, and private space. City Council has directed staff to develop options for breastfeeding spaces in all City facilities.
We are conducting a survey to help us understand the needs of our residents and their thoughts on having breastfeeding spaces. Please complete a quick three minute survey. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
