What are the Urban Design Guidelines?
Urban Design is a collaborative and multi-disciplinary process of shaping cities and their communities. It establishes the framework and processes that facilitate the development of livable, sustainable and vibrant communities. The Urban Design Guidelines will provide direction for designing and assessing development, promoting and encouraging design excellence.
When will the new Urban Design Guidelines be implemented?
To ensure that the UDGs appropriately implement Provincial, Regional and local policies, reflect current zoning practices, and works for the entirety of Brampton today and in the future, the Urban Design Guidelines are scheduled to be reviewed in tandem with the new Zoning-By Laws.
How can I get involved?
The City welcomes all residents, stakeholders and members of the community to participate in the development of the new Guidelines. Please subscribe to stay tuned for more details and opportunities to provide feedback in 2024.
