Social Support Task Force

Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Linkedin Email this link

The City of Brampton recognizes the impacts COVID-19 has on our community and that is an especially difficult and stressful time for some. We are here to support.

If you and your loved ones require immediate access to food, let us know by filling out the social support form. Please note:

  • It can take up to 72 hours to fulfill the food request, therefore, please ensure you have enough food until your next food request.
  • The food delivered comes from a local food bank, therefore, not all items requested can be fulfilled, since it all depends on donations.

If you would prefer to request assistance by phone, please call 311. If you need access to shelter, please reach out to the Region of Peel for assistance, or if you need meals, housing, or health support you can click here for a list of community-based resources.

The City of Brampton recently launched the Backyard Garden Program, an eco-friendly initiative to help support food security in our city, and encourage residents to get active at home during the COVID-19 emergency. Click here to learn more.

Hello I want to ask about the food you provide as a help, are they prepared meals or canned food? Thank you for your support

    Fatma asked 2 months ago

Both prepared meals and non-perishable food are available, depending on your needs. Prepared food can be picked up from Knights Table, United Sikhs and Regeneration (click here for details). Food banks at Knights Table and Regeneration are also providing hampers of non-perishable foods for pick up. If you are self-isolating and unable to leave your home to pick up food, please fill out the Social Support Online Form to request assistance.
