Welcome to the Social Support Task Force webpage!

The Social Support Task Force was created as an emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. The purpose of this task force is to provide assistance to residents of Brampton and access to food and emergency shelter services.

To serve the community’s food needs, we are collaborating with 4 local food banks to ensure residents have adequate food support to meet their needs during this unprecedented time.

Through these partnerships, we are able to provide groceries, prepared meals, and essential household items to Brampton residents.

All of the items that were provided to the residents were generously donated to our partners by local businesses, organizations, and residents.

Information on the total number of food requests the task force fulfilled throughout the ongoing pandemic could be found the city’s COVID-19 dashboard.

If you are a community based organization looking for funding to support your activities in Brampton, visit the Advance Brampton Fund.
