Residential Rental Licensing Pilot
The Residential Rental Licensing (RRL) Pilot Program, launched on January 1, 2024, is an initiative designed to strengthen local oversight of Brampton’s low-rise private rental housing sector. The program is intended to enhance housing quality, improve safety standards, increase accountability among landlords and track rental housing trends. The pilot currently operates in Wards 1, 3, 4, 5, and 7 and requires landlords of properties with four or fewer rental units to obtain a license to operate.
